Kunjungan ini bertujuan untuk memastikan ketersediaan pangan di Kabupaten Soppeng tetap aman.
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Kepala cabang Bulog Soppeng, Faisal Armin, menjelaskan ketersediaan beras di Kabupaten Soppeng dalam kondisi aman hingga 10 bulan ke depan. Untuk mengoptimalkan penyimpanan stok beras menjelang musim panen baru, Bulog Soppeng akan melakukan beberapa langkah strategis.
Bulog Soppeng saat ini memiliki dua gudang utama, yaitu di Panincong dengan kapasitas 6.000 ton dan di Laburawung dengan kapasitas 2.500 ton. Untuk mengantisipasi keterbatasan ruang penyimpanan, Bulog Soppeng berencana menjalin kerjasama dengan pihak swasta yang memiliki gudang di perbatasan Kabupaten Sidrap. Kerjasama ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan ruang penyimpanan tambahan bagi stok beras baru hasil panen.
“Ketersediaan beras hingga 10 bulan ke depan sudah aman. Langkah ini kita ambil untuk memastikan kelancaran distribusi dan menjaga stabilitas harga beras di Kabupaten Soppeng,” jelas Faisal Armin.
Lebih lanjut, Bulog Soppeng telah menjalin komitmen kerjasama dengan Dinas TPHPKP (Tanaman Pangan Hortikultura Perkebunan Peternakan dan Perikanan) Kabupaten Soppeng dan TNI untuk memastikan koordinasi yang efektif dalam pengelolaan stok beras. Saat ini, Bulog Soppeng tengah berupaya mencari solusi terbaik dalam koordinasi tersebut untuk memastikan proses transisi penyimpanan berjalan lancar.
Dalam kunjungan tersebut, Bupati Soppeng Suwardi Haseng menyampaikan komitmen Pemerintah Kabupaten Soppeng untuk memfasilitasi Bulog dalam upaya menjaga ketersediaan pangan. Hal ini sejalan dengan arahan Presiden untuk memastikan pasokan pangan tetap tercukupi.
“Kita akan memfasilitasi Bulog agar upaya menjaga ketersediaan pangan dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Ini merupakan arahan langsung dari Presiden,” ujarnya.
Selian itu, Bupati Soppeng juga menjelaskan bahwa selain menjaga ketersediaan pangan juga harus memastikan daya beli masyarakat tetap terjaga agar program ini berjalan efektif dan bermanfaat bagi seluruh lapisan masyarakat.
Sementara itu, Wakil Bupati Soppeng Ir. Selle KS Dalle menjelaskan bahwa meskipun instruksi Presiden berfokus pada ketersediaan pangan, aspek kesejahteraan petani dan keberlangsungan usaha pedagang juga harus diperhatikan. Beliau menyoroti peran strategis Bulog dalam hal ini, yang mengacu pada peraturan Presiden. Namun, beliau juga menekankan pentingnya dialog dan kerjasama dengan pelaku usaha untuk menghindari kebijakan yang merugikan salah satu pihak.
“Posisi dan tanggung jawab strategis Bulog mengacu pada peraturan presiden. Namun, kita juga harus mempertimbangkan sisi lain dari pelaku usaha. Jangan sampai ada satu sisi yang terpenuhi sementara sisi lain terabaikan,” jelas Ir. Selle KS Dalle. “Ini tanggung jawab kita bersama, khususnya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pokok seperti jagung dan beras.”
Lebih lanjut, Ir. Selle KS Dalle menyatakan bahwa dalam situasi tertentu, kepentingan negara dan hajat hidup orang banyak menjadi prioritas utama. Namun, Pemerintah Kabupaten Soppeng berkomitmen untuk mendengarkan dan mempertimbangkan kepentingan semua pihak yang terlibat dalam rantai pasokan pangan.
“Kami akan mendengarkan dan mempertimbangkan kepentingan semua pihak yang terlibat. Ini adalah tugas pemerintah yang harus berjalan beriringan,” tambahnya.
